This is Yukon, Sable male. He is a Pembroke with a full tail! He was purchased with a tail.
A lot of our pups have natural nub tails, but we band those that have full tails. This is very humane vs. cutting them off!

Why don't we keep our dogs forever? Although it is not easy for us to say goodbye, our dogs get more individual attention by adopting them out to approved private homes. We feel our doggies have earned the very best we can provide them with. We cannot continue to breed and provide pups for all the people who very much desire them, and keep our older dogs in the house also. Some would have to be continually kenneled and we do not want that for them. The only way to continue breeding is to continue to bring new dogs in every few years. This is why you will come across a lot of breeders who are no longer breeding. We put a LOT of thought into retiring a dog!
